Welcome to Comparative Historical Analysis and Theory (CHAT), an international network of historians and historical social scientists! The goal of our organization is to facilitate and energize our field, developing new connections among scholars and scholarly questions, energizing methodological discussion and research strategies, and building organizational memory across scholarly cohorts. Many of us belong to organizations like the SSHA and ASA-CHS section, and we aim to fill in gaps as we find them, especially in periods between academic conferences and with an eye to sometimes widely-dispersed scholars.
Through this website, you can learn more about us, join us, check out various resources we have assembled, and look at our schedule of talks and presentations (and view recordings of past events).
You can view our current schedule of events and register for them here.
